Many smart cities around the world are focusing on finding new smart ways for people to get around. The main talking point when it comes to eco friendly transportation has been public transport not ideal for everyone but there is something else people can use instead: electric cars. In smart cities the demand for electric cars are on the rise because they can reduce carbon emissions. With the demand of electric cars comes the demand for access to charging stations around smart cities. Annecy

Annecy already has 17 stations set up around the city but some of them can only charge one car and this is a problem. In Sweden municipalities around the country have drawn up strategies to meet the demand of charging stations. This one of the challenges for a smart cities like Annecy.
